Most of the models that I’ve done as personal projects have been rigid objects, primarily electronics — phones, computer peripherals, and other gadgets. I really wanted to expand a bit, and this project gave me a great opportunity to practice with non-rigid surfaces, i.e. the seat back and cushions.
In addition, the stitching on each of the padded leather surfaces gave me a chance to become more accustomed to different UV Mapping techniques in order to make the threads follow the contours of each section. This personal project is also for sale on TurboSquid.com.
